Boho Chic Style in Three Minutes!

These Rosebud Headbands Might Be the Easiest DIY Ever

Girls Boho Stretchy Headband Tutorial

DIY Girls Headband Project

With a newborn in the house, these days aren't allowing too much DIY time, so sometimes I need a quick crafting fix! These Boho Chic Headbands are the perfect project--literally, they take about 3 minutes, and they can jazz up any girl's ensemble!

I sorta feel bad even calling this a tutorial, because it really is SOOOOOO easy... so instead maybe I'll just call it an idea. I'll outline the steps below, but here's the gist of it: hot glue gun.

How to Make Boho Chic HeadbandBoho Chic Headband Materials

I got everything I needed at Hobby Lobby (besides the glue gun, which I already had). Here's what you'll need:
  • Elastic "trim" (found in the ribbon section)
  • Roses or other accoutrements (these came in little bags in the accessory aisle)
  • Measuring tape
  • Hot glue gun

  • Measure your headband-wearer's head and add one inch to that number (if they're not around to measure, 14" should work for school-aged kids; 13" worked for the baby).
  • Cut your elastic to that size.
  • Hot glue the ends together, overlapping about an inch.
  • Decide on a spacing for your roses (or whatever you're using). My roses are 2.5" apart.
  • Hot glue your first rose OVER your overlapped elastic connection.
  • Continue adding roses, using your desired spacing, on either side of your starting rose, for as long as you like. I didn't go all the way around and left about 5" in back as just elastic.

And that's it--so easy, and ready to wear!

Headband Project for Girls

They can work for all ages--I may even whip one up for myself! These are also soft, so they're perfect for newborn photos, too! But obviously, use your judgement when using them with a baby.
